Q. What are the facilities at Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa like?
A. Opened in 1992, this 3.5 star resort boasts the most breathtaking views in St. Thomas. 294 spacious and tastefully decorated guestrooms, over 16,000 sq. ft. of meeting facilities and one of the most photographed wedding locations in the Caribbean were designed to provide a genuine island experience. The resort was renovated in 2006.
Q. What activities and sports are available at the Wyndham Sugar Bay?
A. There are 4 tennis courts (lit for night play), basketball and miniature golf. For water enthusiasts, catamaran snorkel trips, jet ski, kayaks and sunfish sails are available as is snorkeling equipment and scuba diving. For kids big and small, there are also electric bumper boats on water and last but not least, located at our spa, we have a sate of the art fitness center with all of the latest equipment and free weights. On designated days a variety of fitness classes are also available.
Q. What is the dress code at the resort?
A. Tasteful attire is encouraged at all Wyndham Resorts. Beachwear for the pool and beach, shoes are required at all restaurants. We recommend resort casual dress in all other areas. Manor House in the evening is resort casual (collared shirts, slacks or dress shorts are perfect) – flip flops and tank tops are not allowed.

A. 8 miles of island scenery and breathtaking views of surrounding islands is what you’ll see on your 30-minute drive from the airport to the resort.

Getting Around St. Thomas from the Wyndham Sugar Bay
The hotel does not provide shuttle service from airport to hotel or hotel to airport. We highly recommend that you rent a car but Taxi services are always available throughout the island. Guests should look only for those taxis, which carry a dome light and the letters TP on their license plate. Other taxis are not officially licensed by the US Virgin Islands taxi commission. A hotel Bellman can arrange for a taxi at any time.

Leaving St. Thomas
Each US visitor, including children can return with $1200.00 worth of duty-free imports from the US Virgin Islands. US residents over 21 can bring back 4 liters of liquor duty free and an extra liter if one of the bottles is produced in the Virgin Islands. Each person is allowed to bring 5 cartons of cigarettes back to the U.S. All baggage of travelers flying from the US Virgin Islands are subject to inspection by US Customs. St. Thomas is the second-largest of the US Virgin Islands, spanning 32 square miles (13 miles long and three wide). It is the seat of the local government and the most cosmopolitan of the three major islands. There are as many as 50 other small islands that make up the cluster of U.S. and British Virgin Islands, however, most are small and predominantly uninhabited.Q. Q. Do you need a passport to visit St. Thomas?
A. You do NOT need a passport when you arrive in the US Virgin Islands if you are a US citizen. But if you have one, bring it with you. The US Virgin Islands are a "port of entry" to the mainland United States so although it is easy to get here, you are re-entering the US when you leave. If you don't have a passport, a birth certificate or voter registration card (plus photo identification) are required and acceptable.
